The dissertation concerns the support of the design of thin-walled cylindrical CFRP shells under axial compressive load. This interactive catalogue was drawn up to enable better selection of a design approaches for axial loaded thin-walled cylindircal CFRP shells. The assessment of the individual designs is based on the shells available in the literature since 2000 and the shells tested as part of the thesis and in [Har23] and [Har24], in particular. The catalogue is intentionally structured in such a way that it can be expanded to include further approaches. Individual design approaches can also be assessed again if new cylinder data is available on which an assessment can be conducted. Structure of the catalogue and Access Features The catalogue is organised as follows. In the second Excel sheet, the catalogue for selecting a suitable design approach is provided. A suitable approach can be filtered using different access criteria. The Outline section differentiates between deterministic, semi-probabilistic and probabilistic design approaches. The main section contains the individual design approaches. An additional Excel sheet is linked to each design approach in the main section, in which a step-by-step implementation and the main idea of the respective approach is explained. References ate also made to supplementary literature. The access criteria are subdivided as follows. Firstly, it is possible to filter according to the valid ranges of R/t and L/R ratios. Secondly, the required data for conducting a respective design can be filtered. These are divided into material data, geometric and load imperfections. Next, it is possible to filter which influencing factors on the buckling load are covered by the respective design approaches. Finally, it is possible to filter by two key indicators that specify the quality of the design and by the required numerical effort. The numerical effort is quantified by the number of required FE simulations. The two key indicators were introduced in [Har24]. The precision describes the average accuracy of the design load in relation to the experimental load. The conservativeness, on the other hand, describes the probability of a conservative design.
