M02.008 Determination of dry residue in solid samples

This method describes the calculation of dry matter by determination of dry residue. Therefore, solid samples such as sludge, soil, sediment or biological waste are thoroughly homogenised and dried at 105 ± 3°C to constant weight. The residue is then weighed and the result is reported in percent or g/kg.
