Abstract
Determination of Fe (II) is carried out by means of 1,10-phenanthroline taking advantage of the fact that Fe (II) forms a water soluble red complex with 1,10-phenanthroline. The intensity of the coloured species is measured by a photometer. The concentration in samples is quantified with an external calibration and results are reported in mg/l.
