Informatization and connectivity drive the transformation of the aviation ecosystem into a Cyber-physical System of Systems (CPSoS). This thesis provides a model-based methodology for the specification and design of CPSoS and uses the semi-formal Systems Modeling Language (SysML). The methodology supports the concept, function, architecture, design, and implementation development life cycle phases of CPSoS.
