In the subproject "Digital Ramp Agent" the Institute of Aircraft Cabin Systems specified physical processes and information exchange of ramp operations during turnaround at the interface between cabin and ramp. The resulting specification is an executable model, which was realized by using a standardized semi-formal modelling language. This model was used to define a technical solution concept. In a next step, selected topics were implemented as an experimental set-up for test and demonstration. Using this set-up the model was validated in a field test. For this purpose rapid prototyping practices were used, which enabled the integration of real hardware components of innovative information and communication systems into the model.
