Organoboranes (OBs) are versatile building blocks and precursors for various applications in todays agriculture, pharmacy and organic chemistry. To replace their environmentally offensive and less-selective chemical synthesis routes, this thesis focused on a recently discovered biocatalytic approach of OB synthesis called biocatalytic borylation. Here, tests investigated the state of the starting materials with respect to pH, temperature and UV-light. The enzymatic reaction was characterized according to Michaelis-Menten kinetics to derive a kinetic model, which was evaluated via simulations. Moreover, OB synthesis was executed in batch, fed-batch and continuous mode, where especially the fed-batch mode improved space-time yield and the final product concentration.
