The scanning range of circularly polarized antenna arrays built according to the principle of sequential rotation is investigated. Based on an analytical formulation proposed for arrays arranged on rectangular and triangular grids, a systematic comparison is performed. The approach is generalized to include arbitrary antenna arrays.
