This paper introduces an approach for increasing the aperture efficiency of a high-gain antenna-lens system. Different anti-reflective (AR) impedance matching layers (IMLs) designed for 3D printing are added to the lens and evaluated based on the reduction of reflections and improvement in gain. The chosen system ensures a reflection coefficient below-20dB and increases the gain by 0.44 dB in simulation. After additively manufacturing the system and metal coating, measurements validate the simulation results.
