A new approach to modelling gene expression dynamics is presented. Unlike other modelling approaches, the presented method can cope with both: discrete biological rules, namely the canalizing property of gene interaction as well as continuous measurement data. This is possible due to the use of continuous valued Zhegalkin polynomials which are able to represent Boolean functions.
