A dual-band transmit-receive module for a new commercial maritime radar with digital beamforming is presented. The module is realized in a low cost approach. It consists of two RF-stages, one at S-and one at X-band, and a shared IF-stage. The cost is kept low by using components of the shelf and a novel integration technique for low-cost circulator. The transmit-receive module exhibits a transmit power of 28.7 dBm in the S-band and of 29.7 dBm in the X-band. The system noise figure is 2.9 dB and 7.5 dB, respectively.
