A single pole double throw (SPDT) switch for X-band applications is presented. The switch is integrated into a coupled microstrip line multi-section band pass filter. It comprises only two PIN-diodes as switching elements. Thus, a compact planar design is achieved. A filter integrated switch for X-Band applications has been designed and fabricated using discrete PIN-diodes. Measurement and simulation results are presented. The filter exhibits a bandwidth of about 450 MHz at 9.4 GHz and an isolation of about 30 dB.
