In this work, preferably efficient overall processes for the production of hydrogen based on the thermochemical gasification of biomass are identified. Therefore these processes, consisting of gasification and gas processing were modeled consistent and realistic in Aspen Plus. In addition to the gasification process, a special focus was placed on the reforming of hydrocarbons contained in the raw gas. Main criterion for evaluation is the overall process efficiency based on the used primary energy.
