An integral part of the process chain is usually a post-processing of the produced components. For example, machining processes are needed to finish functional surfaces. The integration of these post-processing processes into the additive parts production requires new solutions of production organization. In order to ensure an efficient order processing, methods for the intelligent organization and integration of post-processing processes into the additive production chain are developed at the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Additive Manufacturing Technologies (Fraun-hofer IAPT). © Carl Hanser Verlag GmbH & Co.
