This thesis investigates engineering students’ (mis)conceptions about electric circuit concepts. Several Tutorial worksheets (some revised, some newly developed) are found to help reduce specific misconceptions. The concept of the electric potential is discussed in the context of threshold concept theory and its use in reducing student misconceptions about voltage is investigated.
