dc.description.abstractIn the last years, the growing number of electronic units in passenger cars allows to intervene intelligently in the drive system for specific situations. In order to reduce undesired driveline oscillations, which can damage components, reduce performance and comfort, control strategies are necessary. These oscillations occur for example due to misuse maneuver, load changes, gear changes or irregularity of the internal combustion engine. Therefore, engine torque, clutch torque and torque of an electric machine, respectively, can be used as control input depending on the drive technology and scenario. In this article various stressful oscillations in a frequency band to 60 Hertz are introduced and analyzed. To overcome these problems, new control methods are presented. Thereby, the challenges in nonlinear control design of dead time and mechanical backlash are specified.en
