He currently is a Professor for Cyber Security at Unitec Institute of Technology, Auckland, New Zealand, Director for the High Technology Transdisciplinary Research Network, and Cyber Security research lead. Christian has previously worked as researcher and research lead in cyber security, organisational security, and programming languages. His research expertise ranges from organisational security and detection and mitigation of insider threats and social engineering, over cloud infrastructures, virtual machines, and programming languages, to power-aware computing systems and runtime systems for embedded systems. He has been programme director for study lines on software technology and computer systems engineering, and has in depth experience in designing and adapting curricula, student evaluation, and in general quality assurance of educational systems.
