Its ability to serve as a meta-class model of vanishing point perspective systems, giving a teacher the opportunity to present approximations of the straight linear perspective models (with one, two or three vanishing points) all in one system, is presented in this article. The mathematical basis for a spherical grid as a curvilinear approximation to one-eyed human vision and a didactic approach for its integration into design oriented perspective freehand drawing are also discussed.en1451-2092FME transactions20192343348https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/Spherical perspectivecurvilinear perspectivevanishing point perspectivedesign educationaugmented realityimmersionTechnikIngenieurwissenschaftenHausbau, BauhandwerkSpherical perspective in design educationJournal Article10.15480/882.299610.5937/fmet1902343K10.15480/882.2996Journal Article
