Thus, concepts for providing reserve power are discussed using wind and solar power plants. Because of their fluctuating power generation, a high reliability of reserve power provision must be ensured by applying concepts based on stochastic methods. For increasing the amount of reliable control reserve power provision, storage units can support the renewable energy generation plants. Besides lithium batteries, storage units from the gas and heat sector may be used. Hence, primary sector coupling is utilized. In this paper, it is investigated if and how these sector coupling technologies can support the control reserve provision. It is shown that the investigated virtual power plants containing combined heat and power plants (CHP), electrolyzers and fuel cells are technically able to do this and fulfill the required reliability.enIntegrated Energy Systems, Control Reserve, Prequalification, Reliability, TransiEnt LibraryIngenieurwissenschaftenA Concept for Providing Control Reserve in Integrated Energy SystemsConference Paper10.1109/REST54687.2022.10022642Other
