Die berufswissenschaftlichen Forschungsergebnisse werden zur Gestaltung von Berufsbildern und zur Weiterentwicklung beruflicher Lehr-/Lernprozesse für die Aus- und Weiterbildung genutzt und fließen in die gewerblich-technische Lehrkräftebildung ein. Zusätzlich beschäftigt sich das IBMT intensiv mit den Auswirkungen technologischer Innovationen und Transformationsprozesse auf die Aus- und Weiterbildung. Diese dynamischen Veränderungen führen zu einem kontinuierlichen Wandel im Berufsfeld. Das Institut für berufliche Metalltechnik unter der Leitung von Prof. Dr. Lars Windelband ist für die Ausbildung der Lehrkräfte für das gewerblich-technische Lehramt in den beruflichen Fachrichtungen Metalltechnik und Fahrzeugtechnik zuständig.The Institute for Vocational Science of Metal Technology (IBMT) at the Hamburg University of Technology (TU Hamburg) researches the skills, qualifications, and professional requirements in the field of metal technology.
