Different optimization algorithms are deployed to obtain the optimum hull form at the condition of design draft and design speed when displacement is defined as a basic constraint. The paper uses STARCCM+ to calculate the resistance in still water, while added resistance is calculated by STF strip method. By comparing the numerical results, a satisfying hull form can be found.
