Previous studies have investigated the mitigation potentials of such measures individually and based on specific boundary conditions. Thus, a direct quantitative comparison of different measures is not yet possible. However, a comparison of effectiveness and efficiency of these mitigation measures is required to promote their implementation in the air transport system. Therefore, a comparative assessment of different operational improvements based on comparable similar conditions is subject to this study. For this purpose, a defined set of trajectory-related measures is assessed in mission specific case studies. Measure impacts in terms of average temperature response as well as operational consequences are analyzed, so that results can finally be compared.enClimate ImpactAir TransportationCruise AltitudeFuel ConsumptionContrailsOperating CostsFlight TrajectoryOptimal Control ProblemCruise FlightBase of Aircraft DataTechnology::629: Other Branches::629.1: Aviation::629.13: Aviation EngineeringTrajectory-related measures to mitigate the climate impact of aviation: a comparative studyConference Paper10.2514/6.2023-4220Conference Paper
