They need a tool to help them find their way. Whereas for large-scale-movements contact based navigation is well established, navigation in a setting with many people or very crowded rooms or on public stairways poses still a challenge. The proposed project implements a stick with ultrasonic sensors and vibration motors that helps people with visual impairments navigate in these special surroundings.
