The two coefficients differ significantly, with mE independent of the ligament size, L, and with a trend for mP / L at not too large L. Disorder in the network of ligaments may explain why mE is smaller than predicted by lattice-based models. Finite element simulations, based on the Deshpande–Fleck constitutive law, validate the data analysis. The constitutive law captures work-hardening and transverse flow of nanoporous gold in good agreement with the experiment.en1359-6462Scripta Materialia20156569https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/nanoporous metalmechanical propertiesnanostructureporous materialfinite element analysisIngenieurwissenschaftenElastic and plastic poisson’s ratios of nanoporous goldJournal Articleurn:nbn:de:gbv:830-8822040810.15480/882.162711420/163010.1016/j.scriptamat.2015.08.00210.15480/882.1627Journal Article
