Microwave implementation of spatial filtering velocimetry was used to detect the average velocity of the particulate solids. The sensing mode TM011 allows for the propagation of two electric field maxima in the direction of the particles' flow for accurately determining mass-flow rate. The sensor was designed to work in the ISM radio spectrum. The interfacing of the designed sensor and Software-Defined Radio USRP B210 was performed with MATLAB. With the help of MATLAB App Designer, a User Interface app was designed for ease of use. As a proof of concept, free-fall and pneumatic conveyor machine measurements were accomplished.enmass-flowmetamaterialsensorsoftware defined radioPhysicsMetamaterial waveguide based detector for mass-flow measurements of particulate paint solidsConference Paper10.23919/EuMC58039.2023.10290464Conference Paper
