Negative effects on a system level due to architectural deficits can introduce system errors. For safety-critical systems this could cause even harm. Avionics plat-forms in aircraft that provide the computing and 110 capabilities for safety and non-safety critical applications are such complex systems. Visualisation during design and development is therefore key to understand those inter-dependencies and to avoid design errors. This paper presents a new method to provide visualisation techniques to gain insights into architectural aspects of avionics platforms and the respective distributed system applications running on these. The method aims to provide intuitive ways to answer typical design questions and to support V & V activities.enTechnology::629: Other Branches::629.1: Aviation::629.13: Aviation EngineeringAnother Way of Assessing Complexity in Avionics: Derived 3D Avionics Platform ModelsConference Paper10.1109/DASC62030.2024.10748977Conference Paper
