It is shown that plasma leads to increased Q values of cavity models. Also it results in a downshift of the operating frequency and an increase of the RF field inside the gyroton cavity. Estimates of these effects in a wide range of plasma densities for the l MW 140 GHz CW gyotron at FZK are presented.
