A 4 (28): 438-444 (2013)http://hdl.handle.net/11420/6882In this paper, a design technique based on steady analysis of ducted propeller is presented. The approach combines geometry generation, auto-meshing, optimization algorithm and CFD techniques that make the process automatically operated and extended the CFD analysis to the design stage. An upgrading project is performed for a case study to improve the efficiency of an existing ducted propeller. For the computation case, the optimized result can provide higher thrust force and efficiency than the ducted propeller installed on the vessel. The model test validated the results.enShui dong li xue yan jiu yu jin zhan20134438444Shang hai shiAutomatic optimizationCFDSteady calculationTechnikIngenieurwissenschaftenResearch on automatic optimization of ducted propeller design based on CFD techniquesJournal Article10.3969/j.issn1000-4874.2013.04.009Other
