Based on a real-world use case, the approach is demonstrated, and multiple scenarios are presented to emphasize the different pitfalls and challenges. The presented newly developed mathematical model is used to compute the optimal stowage plan while simultaneously optimizing terminal rotation. The optimal solution is tested for robustness using simulation.
