2023-06-252023-06-25https://tore.tuhh.de/handle/11420/35360Antonio Pedro Novaes de Oliveira received the degrees of Mechanical Engineer (1990) and Master in Mechanical Engineering (1993) from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, UFSC and PhD in Materials Engineering from University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, UNIMORE - Italy (1998). Later (2009-2010), he held a postdoctoral fellowship at the Technical University Hamburg-Harburg, TUHH - Germany. He started his career at UFSC in 1982 (always involved in activities related to materials engineering) and moved away from 1991 to 1992 to undertake a specialization course (ceramic refractories) in Nagoya, Japan, funded by JICA and, between 2001 and 2005, when he was superintendent director of the Center of Materials Technology (CTCmat) and Manager of the South Technological Base Micro Industrial District, IBT MIDISUL (a technology-based incubator). Between May 2006 and September 2009 he was Coordinator of Internship of the Undergraduate Course in Materials Engineering at UFSC and between May 2012 and May 2016 he was Coordinator (two terms) of the Post-Graduate Program in Materials Science and Engineering (PGMAT) of UFSC. Currently, he is associate professor at UFSC, member of the PGMAT delegate collegiate and coordinator (group leader) of the Laboratory of Glass-Ceramic Materials, VITROCER. He is member of the American Ceramic Society. He has experience in the area of Materials Engineering and Metallurgy working mainly in the following subjects: ceramics, glasses, glass-ceramics, 3D-Printing, glazes, industrial solid waste recovery, porous ceramic materials and nanotechnology.
