Project Abstract
On course to reduce aircraft emissions
More and more efforts are being made worldwide to reduce CO2 emissions and mitigate their impact on the environment. Aircraft are the greatest and growing emissions source within the transportation sector. As such, the sector must find new ways to reverse this trend. With this in mind, the EU-funded REIVON project’s goal is to analyse and identify potentials for global reduction of emissions through the most effective adjustment of aircraft size and range and the flight network. To achieve this, REIVON will apply the best integrated, multidisciplinary expert-based approach and make use of different databases and several state-of-the-art models and tools. The effects of the analysis will be published in scientific reports.
