Abstract
The kernel is used for the KALYPSO 1D /WSPM module of the software platform KALYPSO for stationary, one-dimensional simulation of the water level in flowing water bodies using the methodological approaches in accordance with the recommendations of DVWK Merkblatt 220 and BWK Merkblatt 1/2000. Among other things, this module is also used to prepare water body sections for further transient, one-dimensional simulations in KALYPSO-1D2D.

Technical information
To use the kernel,
1.) Copy the compiled kernel Kalypso-1D.exe to the WSPWin program directory, e.g. C:\WspWin\bin
2.) Enter the name of the current *.exe in the first line of the configuration file “wspbce.cfg”. The configuration file is also located in the WSPWin program directory , e.g. C:\WspWin\bin
3.) (Optional) Copy the file Polynome1d_2.3.1.exe to the WSPWin program directory, e.g. C:\WspWin\bin
Remarks:
Polynome1d_2.3.1.exe is used to create three descriptive functions via the respective water depth per profile. The variables discharge Q, wetted area A, and impulse flow coefficient a are each described as a function of the water depth H. The starting point is a steady-state calculation in at least one profile or a watercourse section under the specification of a discharge interval (Qmin to Qmax). This calculation yields the support points for each function and each profile.
