Abstract
The study focuses on examining the influence of temperature on the eigenfrequencies and amplifications of four different GFRP sandwich panels with aramid honeycomb cores. The temperature range considered is -40°C to 120°C, relevant to aerospace applications. The tests demonstrated that temperature variations have a substantial impact on the eigenfrequencies of the panels, particularly showing significant frequency shifts at temperatures below 0°C. This finding contradicts the initial assumptions. Furthermore, the study revealed that amplifications do not consistently peak at room temperature as commonly assumed in aviation certification standards. Instead, the maximum amplification values occur at different temperature ranges, reflecting the unique properties of each panel.
