A transition from a rectangular to a coplanar waveguide on membrane for D-band operation was introduced. In this paper experimental results to determine and characterize its optimum are shown. Broadband insertion loss of less than -0.6 dB is measured in the range of 125-150 GHz. Influences of misalignments of the membrane-structure to the rectangular waveguide are characterized.
