“Tüchtig Und Beliebt" - this is how TUHH President Prof. Kreuzer dissolved the abbreviation TUB for the University Library of the TUHH in his greeting. The TUB took its 30th anniversary as an opportunity to deal with the present and the future, and on 4 November 2009 invited to a colloquium focusing on e-books in the Karl-H.-Ditze auditorium of the TUHH. The motto of the event was "Don't trust anyone over 30? The TUB turns 30!" In addition to the use of the e-books already offered by scientific publishers as part of the TUHH digital library, special output devices, so-called eBook readers, were also discussed at the colloquium. After the colloquium, the library invited participants to test eBook readers over a glass of water or wine. This volume documents the lectures given at the colloquium and hopes to contribute to the current discussion about eBooks and the library of the future.
