In this note we consider linear symmetric systems with interval input data, and we describe an algorithm for calculating bounds of the corresponding solution set and for checking a posteriori the regularity of the symmetric system matrices. Moreover, the more general case where linear dependencies of the interval input data occur will be discussed.
