Change is the only real constant in industrial production. Companies around the world are under constant pressure to innovate quickly, adapt and respond to the ever changing demands of industry. Artificial intelligence will take on another component in digitized manufacturing in the future. This article shows how developments in Industry 4.0 and new technologies or technological advancements for the design of educational processes can be recorded using empirical data collection. Also training needs can be derived as an approach to enhance TVET learning. As a representative example, collaborative robotics in manufacturing is chosen. Robotics has a high market impact and will be heavily affected in the future by topics such as autonomous systems and artificial intelligence.
