Today, the high complexity of the development of new product generations is one of the greatest challenges in product development processes. One solution to support the product developer is to use computer-Aided methods. However, to predict the strong interactions of new product generations, different methods have to be coupled. This work presents a strategic approach to handle the current challenges of coupling different simulation methods. Based on established tools, new computer-based methods are being developed to support the product developer in synthesis.
