In this paper, the behaviour of a TekScan pressure measurement system is analysed under the influence of different temperatures and pressure loads. For this purpose, an I-Scan pressure measuring foil of the type 5101 (3000 psi) was loaded with certain hydrostatic pressures at 20°C and at -10°C in series of tests. The influence of the number of load cycles on the measurement results is also investigated, as well as the influence of time intervals between test runs. The aim of this analysis is the calibration of the sensor according to different, external influences on the measuring system, as well as the equilibration of the sensor data. The calibration and equilibration of the sensor allow its precise use under different operating conditions. The results are relevant to shipbuilding in the analysis of mechanisms that occur in steel-ice interactions.
