The aim of this work was to study the influence of various techniques ofconcentrating the Chlorella microalgae cell suspension on the obtained biomassoutput, composition and spectral characteristics of the extracted pigment complex. We studied methods for concentrating the cell suspension of. Sorokiniana, and theextracted total amount of pigments was from 5.0 to 35.4 mg from 1 g of dry biomass.Carotenoid content in the examined biomass samples varied from 0.2 (chemicalcoagulation, MgSO4, 5 g/l) up to 6.5 mg/g of biomass (autoflocculation, =11). Itwas established that usage of chemical coagulants for concentrating cell suspensionthe microalgae reduces pigment content in the obtained biomass and pigment outputto extracts.
