This contribution discusses a design approach for Pickett-Potter horn antennas optimized for additive manufacturing. A hybrid approach combines a sine-squared antenna profile with a discrete step for mode conversion, enabling easier manufacturing while achieving a highly Gaussian radiation characteristic. A V-band antenna is designed, optimized and manufactured. Far-field measurements validate the proposed approach.
