We demonstrate an on-chip time lens utilizing the optical pushbroom effect. Experimental validation is achieved within a silicon Bragg grating waveguide. By generating a fast front of free carriers, we capture and concentrate the energy of a signal wave with reduced group velocity. The presented effect can be utilized to compress signals in time and space.
