In view of future sustainable challenges, engineers are needed who can acquire interdisciplinary competencies at universities in addition to the usual technical knowledge content. In the project "Technologies for Sustainable Development" [Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre, 2021] of the consortium of the Hamburg University of Technology and the HafenCity University Hamburg, this very goal is being pursued. In the form of cross-university, open and digitally accessible learning opportunities based on the example of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, students can acquire sustainable action competencies. The aim of this research paper is therefore to identify useful starting points for the development of a modular supplementary offering from a curricular and teaching perspective
