On DSpace and DSpace-CRIS before Version 2023.02.00 the login via ORCID was problematic, if the eMail address was hidden on ORCID side or if the user had a different eMail address on ORCID than on DSpace. Within the project, a solution was developed for DSpace-CRIS, which asks the user for an email address, if it's not provided via ORCID directly and which gives the option to connect an ORCID login to a DSpace login in case of different eMail addresses on both sides.
This presentation shows the results of the project to improve ORCID login on DSpace-CRIS and demonstrates, how the new developments are working.
