Efficient commissioning is essential in maritime one-off production to be able to hand over a ship to the customer in the desired quality and at the agreed time. The large number of scheduling and technical constraints and the high process uncertainties are a major challenge for the planning and control of commissioning. This paper works out the specific requirements of maritime commissioning and derives a suitable planning and control logic. This logic is implemented into a digital assistant and is divided into a planning module and a control module. The planning module is the focus of this paper and determines a suitable plan sequence of commissioning tasks and sets their plan dates. The control module will use this plan data and will provide support during commissioning based on the current progress in releasing, sequencing and assigning the commissioning tasks. The goal is to improve the quality and productivity of the planning and control of commissioning at the shipyards and thereby to support the overall coordination of the commissioning process. The developed assistant is part of a modular assistance system that also consists of an authoring and an execution assistant.
