A basic need for every human being is mobility. Mobility is far more than the pure ability to move around. In fact it also comprises any kind of interaction with the environment especially the communication with other persons. Since a lack of mobility usually has a tremendous effect on the quality of live technical products that train, assist or compensate the users' mobility, will have a growing importance especially against the background of an aging society. As the need for mobility is highly user-specific, the designer of such products is confronted with a huge variety of requirements through to tailored products. This paper outlines the need for a platform of methods to handle these challenges.
