Numerical calculations based on the Finite-Ele-ment Method were carried out to examine the stability of the existing quay wall. A non-linear soil behavior and an elasto-plastic material behavior of the structural elements are used for the FE-analysis. The aim of the analysis is to determine the remaining stability of the existing quay wall and to examine the effects of various maintenance measures on the stress of the structure and the overall stability. For the maintenance, a prefilling of stones and an additional opening in the sheet pile wall are considered
