In the context of the energy transition, the use of renewable energies in the energy supply is becoming more and more relevant to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Due to this restructuring of the energy supply, modeling tools for energy systems gain more and more importance. In order to compare different existing modeling software, a reference energy system is developed in this thesis and used for the comparison of the tools Oemof and PyPSA. The focus of this reference model is especially on grid components and the structure of the energy grid.
