This thesis deals with minimum-redundancy antenna arrays for imaging MIMO radar. The aim of this thesis is the development of empirical design methods as well as analysis, optimization, and synthesis of minimum-redundancy MIMO arrays. In addition to linear arrays the design of planar arrays for three-dimensional radar imaging is presented. Amplitude and phase errors in minimum-redundancy arrays are also investigated.
