In this paper we consider the problem of synthesizing a distributed output feedback controller for continuous time linear string interconnected systems with a guaranteed bound on the H2 performance of the closed loop system. The contribution of this paper is a specialization of the dissipativity based approach to finite string interconnected systems. By exploiting the special structure of the system, we reduce the computational complexity of the controller synthesis compared to the existing methods.
