Abstract (english): | A three-dimensional inviscid boundary element method for the simulation of steady and unsteady partial sheet cavitation on marine propellers is developed. The numerical method is validated in several test cases and applied to the calculation of hydrodynamic loads generated by the flow field around and behind a cavitating propeller on the surrounding structures in the port area. |
